  Cuts to health and human services will hurt every citizen in the state — either directly or indirectly. At the very least, state lawmakers should not consider any further cuts to these services. And federal stimulusdollars intended for health care should remain in health care.

  The Washington Healthcare Forum, a statewide coalition of physicians, hospitals, health plans, and employers founded in 1999 to improve the health care system, has appointed Abbi Kaplan as its first executive director, according to Don Brennan, Forum chair.
